    How to Crop PDF Pages on Mac and Windows?

    Part One: Crop PDF Pages on Mac

    Mac users are lucky enough that they can use Mac built-in Preview program to resize PDF pages. Below are the detailed steps on how to use this PDF cropper for Mac.

    Step 1: Open the PDF file you can to crop in Preview.

    Step 2: Turn to the right corner of the toolbar and click the "Rectangular Section" icon like the below picture shows. Drag the rectangle around the part of the PDF file you want to preserve. Drag the corner handles of the cropping rectangle as needed to adjust the page size.

    Step 3: At last, you should click Tools > Crop or click Command-K to let Preview crop PDF pages.

    Windows users are not that lucky. To resize PDF pages, they need to use third-party program like Adobe Acrobat. Then, how to use Adobe Acrobat to trim PDF pages? Below is the tutorial:

    Part Two: Resize PDF Pages on Windows

    Step 1. Open the target PDF in Adobe Acrobat and choose "Tools > Pages > Crop".

    Step 2. Drag a rectangle onto a page from the PDF that you want to crop. Adjust the rectangle and the area outside of the rectangle will be trimmed from this PDF page.

    Step 3. Double-click inside the rectangle you've just drawn and there will be a Set Page Boxes dialog pops up. From the box, you can see and confirm the margin specifications for the cropping area and the page that you are trimming.

    Step 4. Check if the size is what you want. If no problem, you can straightly click "OK" to trim PDF pages with Adobe Acrobat.

    Tips: After cropping PDF pages with Adobe Acrobat, if you don't like the appearance of your cropped PDF, you can click Options -> Crop Pages to bring out the Set Page Boxes dialog box again and reset the margin specification back to the original settings.
